IT’S TIME TO GIVE THANKS:
The holidays are a wonderful time of the year. A time to come together with friends and family. A time to celebrate and remember.
I like to reflect on the year as it comes to a close and begin to make plans for a wonderful new year ahead. This has been an amazing year for us at Better Life Maids. A few key accomplishments this year include:
- Grown to a staff of 30. We began the year at 16, so we almost doubled our size this year. We have been able to continue to provide a workplace with a social conscious, and provide our staff with a wage as much as 50% over industry average. While this means we have to be a little more expensive than some of our competition, we have proven that many clients will pay a little more to have a higher caliber team and cleaning experience. Our goal is to reach 42 green house cleaning team members in 2014, while maintaining the highest standards in character and quality. By providing a positive and uplifting place to work, and by marketing our services as a high quality option to discerning clients, we believe we can continue to employ great people, how truly love what they do.
- Expanded to serve St. Charles county. We have received a great deal of interest for our services in St. Charles county over the last few years. Many households wanted a green alternative to traditional house cleaning services that were currently available. I am proud to say that we are now offering St. Charles green house cleaning services two days a week, with plans to have a full time schedule by April of 2014. Our St. Charles office is managed by Heather Horst. She has been doing an incredible job serving our newest region and we are so happy to have her.
- Provided free cleanings to 15 women undergoing cancer treatment. Through our ongoing partnership with Cleaning For a Reason, we continue to provide free cleanings to women undergoing cancer treatment. We have been a part of this program since we opened our doors in 2008 and to date have provided free cleanings to nearly 40 women. This is probably one of the most rewarding things that we get to do, and it is only possible through the support of our wonderful clients. We plan to continue to expand our involvement with the program in 2014 and hope to provide free cleanings for up to 25 women.
These are just some of the statistics by which we measured an amazing year for Better Life Maids. We are very proud of what we accomplished this year. Yet we are humble and recognize that our continued success is reliant on our wonderful clients, friends, family, and fans. We are in the service industry, and it is of the utmost honor for us to be of service to you.
