  1. Interpretations: 15th Biennial Teapot Exhibition

From the obscure to the functional, come explore this exhibit which showcases teapots made from materials ranging from clay and metal to glass and various fibers. More than 50 artisans were invited to take part in this event so don’t miss out on seeing their creations.

Description: Nobody thinks that a parade and a road race could go hand and hand, yet such an event does in fact exist! The day starts with a five mile race through the streets of St. Louis, beginning just south of the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark and concluding just past the 8th and Market Streets intersection. Stick around after the race for the parade kicking off at noon, featuring floats, marching bands, and giant balloons of your favorite cartoon characters. There’s no better way to get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit than working off a beer before you drink it.

Description: Looking for a more traditional St. Patrick’s Day parade for your family? Look no further than the 33rd Annual Ancient Order of Hibernians’ Dogtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Held on Thursday, March 17th, this parade is sure to please, featuring floats, different family clans, and even marching bands! Starting from Tamm and Oakland Ave and ending at Tamm & Manchester, this parade seeks to honor St. Patrick in a more traditional and family friendly way. The grand marshal for 2016 is Fr. Christopher Dunlap, Pastor of St. James the Greater Parish.

This interactive exhibit was commissioned by the World Chess Hall of Fame in conjunction with The Magic House and will be making stops at select children’s museums throughout the country. Focusing on the strategy of the game, this exhibit is geared toward mostly toward children but can also be a fun and interactive activity for the entire family.
