What to expect on your cleaning day

Better Life Maids cleaning checklist

Making sure you have clear expectations of what to expect on your cleaning day helps create peace of mind and helps you get the most out of your cleaning service.

We provide you with a cleaning checklist that outlines all of the areas that are included in your cleaning visit.

In addition, your cleaning technician will have detailed notes about your home and your preferences in their technician app, as well as any add-ons you may have selected for that visit.

That way we can clean your home with our processes while giving you a custom cleaning to your exact preferences.

Our cleaning system and technology make sure that all the details big and small are addressed on every cleaning visit.

Preparing for your cleaning visit

Don’t clean your home before we visit, but the more uncluttered and clear surfaces are, the more we can clean. 

We want to remove dust, dirt, germs, and grime from all the surfaces in your home. And we have to be able to get to those surfaces.

Picking up and preparing for your visit also helps keep your cleaning price more affordable in the long run. 

You do have a set cleaning price per visit and we evaluate that regularly, you can keep your cleaning price lower by doing a little preparation before each visit so we can spend more time cleaning, and less time picking up.

When you sign up for service with Better Life Maids you will receive an invite to your customer portal.

The portal is a convenient way to manage your account.

Once you are signed up you will have access to:

  • Your schedule and upcoming visits
  • See your arrival window
  • View and pay invoices
  • Update notification preferences
  • Update preferred payment methods
  • Upgrade your cleaning service with specials and add ons
  • Upgrade your preferences to improve your cleaning experience
  • Rate your cleaning visit and tip your provider
  • And much more

Cleaning Notifications & Reminders

When you are setting up your service we will ask you about preferences for reminders and notifications for your cleaning service. We can send notifications by text and email, and when we roll out our native application, you will be able to receive in-app notifications.

The most common notifications are: a cleaning day reminder with an arrival window, on-the-way notification from your technician, and scorecards.

You can also customize your notifications to include: job started, job finished, invoices, and custom reminders. As well as setting up reminders for multiple phone numbers or emails. That way everyone will know it’s cleaning day.

Scorecards & Feedback for Your Cleaning Team

Better Life Maids scorecard. Rate your cleaning visit and provide feedback to improve your service.

We wanted you to be delighted with your cleaning service, but please don’t hesitate to let us know if there is something we can do to make your service even better.

After your visit is complete you will receive a scorecard where you can rate the service we provided you, and provide additional feedback that we can use to improve future cleaning visits.

All of your scorecard feedback is available to your technician on future visits, plus we take any specific notes you have and add them to the appropriate place in your work order notes.

For instance, if you keep your trash bags under the sink, we will add that to that specific section of your work order. Your technician will know to check there first to find the trash bags so they can reline your trash cans after they remove the trash.
